DET - Detectable Containers

Installations in the food manufacturing sector are normally equipped with detectors to ensure that there are no metals inside the processed and packaged products. In order to serve the industry, Interbox has recently tested and introduced to the market a series of detectable containers. They are moulded with a special resin that, while being suitable for food contact, is also detectable by metal detector.

Foodstuffs incorporating fragments of the container, as a result of accidental breakage/accidental crushes, are recognised and discarded from the supply chain, thus ensuring that the products are free of foreign bodies, both metal and plastic. For immediate visual recognition of any fragments, the DET (detectable) series is made in the blue colour.
